Government Considers Reinstating Original Academic Calendar: Input from Stakeholders Crucial
Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced on Monday that the government is considering reinstating the academic session to its original schedule, which was shifted from November-December to March in 2022. Speaking at an event at Women's College, MA Road Srinagar, Itoo emphasized that the decision will be based on input from all relevant stakeholders.
"We are actively seeking suggestions from various stakeholders to determine the best course of action regarding the academic calendar," Itoo told reporters, as per Valley Student Insights (VSI). She further stated that any final decision will be made only after thorough consultation.
Later in the day, the minister is expected to lead a review meeting with education department officials to discuss the matter in greater detail.
